MATTHEW 11:28-30 NIV * 28/“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29/Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30/For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
JESUS WAS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF SUBMISSION TO GOD'S ESTABLISHED SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IN THE CHURCH [SEE WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY #42 "THE MINISTRY OF JESUS"],
AS WELL AS IN THE LAND WE LIVE IN.
EVEN THOUGH JESUS NEVER SINNED, HE SUBMITTED HIMSELF TO THE SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY OF JOHN THE BAPTIST, WHO WAS ANOINTED BY GOD WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHILE HE WAS IN HIS MOTHER'S WOMB [LUKE 1:15] TO BAPTIZE THE PEOPLE FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS ORDAINED BY GOD TO, "PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD."
LET'S LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURE
ROMANS 13:1-7 NIV
1/Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2/Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3/For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended 4/For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5/Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 6/ This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7/Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?” 26/“From others,” Peter answered. “Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. 27/ “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin.
Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”

ABOUT JESUS * ISAIAH 53
Isaiah 53 (NIV) 1/Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2/He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3/He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4/Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5/But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6/We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7/He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8/By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished. 9/He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10/Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. 11/After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12/Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Philippians 3:7-11 (NKJV) 7/But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8/Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9/and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10/that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11/if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
